ISAH was incorporated in November 1996, starting out as a hardware supplier in Kedah. In 1999, ISAH ventured into the construction industry as a general contractor specializing primarily in concrete, carpentry, steel, plumbing, waterproofing and various finishing works among a few.
Island was incorporated in Malaysia in August 2008 under the Companies Act, as a private limited company, with a paid up capital of RM500,000.00. In the year 2005, Shell Trading Malaysia appointed ISAH as the “sole applicator for Malaysia”, for “supply and apply” of Shell waterproofing system under the Shell Bitumen brand. ISAH effectively focuses on addressing the combined need for quality, speed, professionalism in service and reliability towards its numerous institutional clients and takes great pride in completing its projects on or well before its deadline.
By 2012, Island was proudly awarded “Master Distributor” + “Sole Applicator” of Shell Bitumen products in Malaysia. Taking on a strict policy of supplying its products to its accredited applicators and end users who have been fully trained in the application of its products. It takes a hands-on approach by always being readily available on-hand to give technical assistance and guidance as well as inspecting all applications of its products to ensure it is done correctly in the best manner possible and accurately according to specifications.
Island Waterproofing Construction (M) Sdn Bhd (Island) is the exclusive distributor and sole applicator of Shell Flintkote Bitumen waterproofing products in Malaysia. Island was formerly known as Island Steel and Hardware Sdn Bhd (ISAH). The company was set up to deal with the inadequacies and skill insufficiencies in the building industry when it comes to dealing with waterproofing products and services which eventually led to all aspects of waterproofing required in the construction industry.

President and founder of Island. CEH has vast experience of the waterproofing industry in both managerial capacity and on-site training and quality control. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty when it comes to delivering the best.
CKS is one of the shareholders of Island, as Project Director who covers the whole of Malaysia offering technical support to the technical and field sales manager. He has over 20 years of experience in construction and waterproofing products.
A marketing director who has a wealth of experience and knowledge when it comes to the wide spectrum of waterproofing materials, its technical specifications and appropriateness for specific application environments including application methodology, application rate and scope of work. Where there is a problem, he’s bound to find the right solution.
CYL holds a Bachelor degree (Hons) in Administrative cum Business Management from University of Aberdeen Dundee, UK. She joined the company in 2011 and is responsible for managing Island’s specification business as well as enhancing brand awareness.
The engineering personnel at Island have received training on waterproofing techniques, procedures, surface preparation and products as well as quality control techniques and are exceptionally skilled to supervise and manage sites and applications. These engineers shall be individually assigned to Mackintosh Corporation on a project-to-project basis.
Teams at Island have been trained in surface preparation techniques and in the application of all Shell Bitumen products. They possess the necessary skills to carry out waterproofing works efficiently and on spec. More importantly, they have acquired the most important skill of all - strictly adhering and carrying out of instructions.
